The case, which started since April 2024, was heard in the Lagos State High Court, Yaba, where the singer wanted to be fully present in Imade's life. This got a lot of attention because both parents are popular. One of the lawyers said something about Davido’s late son, Ifеanyі Adeleke, and this deeply pained the singer. Davido said the statement is unprofessional. In a public post, Davido said he was not walking away from his daughter. Instead, he said the legal battle was not worth the pain it caused. “There is nothing to celebrate,” he wrote. ” He said that his decision was aboutpeace for his daughter and not a surrender.

After he left the court, Davido went online to drag a gospel artist, Tosin Bee, thinking hewas the son of the lawyer who made him angry. He later apologised after seeing his mistake. With the legal case now dropped, many expect both parents to find a private arrangement for Imade’s care. Keep doing good, what is yours will come to you someday.
